Wow, I never thought I would get this dress finished! Thank goodness Erin from Miss Crayola Creepy extended the deadline from the end of May to June 4! Woo hoo! I was feeling rushed there as this month came to an end. Somehow the whole month of May flew by as we got busy with other projects like our house appraisal and Caiden's prom!
In this post I showcased a bunch of different patterns that could be used as a 20's style dress. In the end I chose Vogue V8814
well ...... after looking at all the beautiful 1920's dresses on Pinterest and as time went on I started thinking that maybe I wanted to do a straight dress to show off the print on the fabric.

Drat. Back to the drawing board!
I decided to tackle one of Mrs. Depew's ebook patterns for 1920's Tunic Blouse or Dress #3024.
Ooohhh Lorie, it turned out so spectacularly wonderful! That fabric is even more gorgeous in 3D (I guess technically 2D via photos, but I can tell how it looks in 3D from the pics) form. You look lovely enough to make Jay Gatsby stop and take his eyes off Daisy! :)

It's beautiful, and I like your photos! That fabric was such a great find. The sash is the perfect touch. Your hair looks really cute, too.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness this is stunning. I love the material. I wasn't sure about that style on me, but it looks fabulous on you :)
